Siena Catholic Primary School
A message from the new Assistant Principal of Religious education, Mrs Kim Barret-Coade:
I feel truly blessed to be part of this amazing child-centred, God-focused Catholic community at Siena and the Stella Maris Parish.
Being new to the school, I have been welcomed and I witness the Gospel values each and everyday through the words and actions of our staff and students.
We welcome all who are new to Siena Catholic Primary school, especially our Preps and their families.
This year our theme is ‘Be the Flame – Let your Light Shine’. Following in the footsteps of Jesus and inspired by our patron St Catherine of Siena, we, through our words and actions, light the path for others and allow their light and potential to shine.
Living our virtue of Justice, we are a community of faith, building respectful relationships, valuing and embracing all.
‘Make your light shine, so that others will see the good that you do and praise your Father in Heaven.’
As the year progresses, we will share the ways we have enacted this theme. One way is following our Four Care rules. At present, we are focusing on our ‘Care for Others’.
We have a busy few weeks ahead with our Opening Mass, Ash Wednesday and Lent.
May God bless and keep you in his care.

Stella Maris Primary School
At Stella Maris School, the 2023 school year has begun with much excitement as we have welcomed 120 new Prep students, 25 new students across other year levels, lots of new families, a cool new Year 6 teacher (Mr Codey Lee), two new members of the school leadership team (Principal, Mr Mark Ballam; and Assistant Principal Religious Education, Mrs Jenny Davissen) and the return of students and staff from 2022. How lucky are we?!
Our Prep staff have been busy helping our Prep students settle into their new routines and new learning spaces. They are transitioning so well, despite the heat, farewelling their parents each morning, meeting new friends, exploring their new environment and learning lots. With the help of volunteer Year 6 students, they are also enjoying playtime with such a great array of play spaces to choose from. We can’t wait to watch these little ones soar in 2023.
Siena Catholic College
It has been a busy week at Siena Catholic College! Last week we welcomed back our staff and students and the grounds are now buzzing with conversations and catch-ups, while the classrooms are again filled with purpose as everyone quickly re-engages with teaching and learning. It promises to be a wonderful year!
