A warm welcome to our newest parish family members
Stella Maris Catholic Parish has opened the doors to new faces, with a number of new parishioners being officially welcomed in to the parish family with a “welcome party” last Monday on the presbytery balcony.
“We live in a very mobile society and that is reflected by the many new faces we see at our churches each weekend,” said Fr Peter Brannelly. “In such a large and diverse Parish Family like ours it is also very easy to get lost in the crowd! Our welcome evening for all our new members allows us to formally introduce ourselves and welcome them into our parish community.”
Stella Maris Catholic Parish hosts welcome nights several times throughout the year and new parishioners are invited to register online or take home a “Welcome Pack” which can be found at the entrance of the four churches across the parish.
Judy Glasson, a parishioner on the Parish Welcome Team committee says, “simply complete the details and return it to the parish office so that we can get in touch and invite you to our next welcome evening.
“To all our new and returning parishioners – welcome!” she said.
