Thank you
Holy Week and the Easter Time is a rollercoaster ride of emotions, events and ceremonies. Each year across our four church communities our liturgies capture the essence of our faith as we journey with Jesus through Holy Week and emerge at Easter into the bright realisation of the Resurrection. On behalf of the entire parish I would like to thank everyone who in any way helped with our Holy Week ceremonies. We are blessed to have generous and talented liturgists, musicians, choir members, ministers of the Word and Eucharist and sacristans. Behind them lie countless unnamed parishioners who without making a fuss, clean and prepare the church and altar and give their time to ensure that all flows smoothly. On behalf of a grateful parish, thank you!
Request for a lift to mass
A lady living in Alexandra Headland would like a lift to Sunday 9.00am Mass at Stella Maris Church each week. If you can help, please contact the Parish Office.
You are invited to Youth Group
We are starting a youth group in Term 2 for children in Years 4-6 at Siena Church, Sippy Downs from 3.00-5.00pm on Friday afternoons during term time. This will be a great space for children to enjoy activities, games, craft, fun and faith. Youth group is a great environment to meet new friends and take part in a positive and powerful journey of faith with Jesus. Technology for the Third Age
Technology is changing so quickly and the pace of change can overwhelm us. Upgrades happen without our knowledge and suddenly things on our smartphone or tablets have changed or moved. When change happens simple tasks become difficult and frustrating. It is okay for teenagers who have grown up with computers and whose lives are fully consumed by them – but what about the rest of us? How do you find an app, operate the calendar, organise photos, access podcasts?
On this Friday, following the 9.00am Mass at Stella Maris, our second self-help Technology for the Third Age gathering will convene and we will explore and find solutions to some of the technology challenges that frustrate us. Bring your technology and come along!
Catholic Encounter Kids Day 2023 – only 1 week left to register!

Open to all primary school aged children aged between 5 and 12 years across the Sunshine Coast, this one-day program creates a welcoming and fun space for children to connect with Jesus and grow in faith.
As a parent who’s doing your best to pass on the faith to your child, don’t miss out on this one-time event hosted in collaboration with Stella Maris by our neighbouring parish, Our Lady of the Rosary Caloundra, this Friday 14 April from 9.00am to 5.00pm Register now
Celebrating and Remembering
We welcome into God’s Family, the Church, Violet Woods and Louis Martin who will be baptised this weekend in our Parish, and Johannes “Duncan” Streuderst who is being fully initiated into the Catholic Church.
We pray for all those who have died, especially Jim Walsh, Ruth Reeves and Ivan Brady. May their souls and the souls of all our departed priests, religious, parishioners and family members, through the rich mercy of God, Rest in Peace.
New to the neighbourhood?
Our parish we would like to officially welcome you to your new Faith Community. At the entrance to our churches you will discover a Welcome Pack. If you could take a pack as you leave church today, complete the details and return it to us, we will be in touch. Alternatively, you could fill in the I’m new form on our parish website.
Several times a year the Welcome Committee host a New Members Cocktail Party on the balcony of the Presbytery and we want to ensure that everyone gets a invitation.
