Stella Maris Catholic Parish Maroochydore’s one-day school holiday program was full of fun, song and games, as more than 50 primary school-aged children filled the parish grounds with excitement last Wednesday 26 June.
The parish’s one-day, every school holidays event, ‘Fun Days with God – Alive in the Spirit’, brought kids together to learn about God’s Love through fun games and activities, including creative craft challenges and plenty of team-building activities.
Bernadette Baillie and her wonderful team of volunteers who co-ordinated the programme, said that the kids joined in with so much enthusiasm!
“The idea behind the holiday program is designed for primary-aged kids to learn about God’s love through age-appropriate fun, games, song, prayer and dance,” said Mrs Baillie.
As a primary school teacher who has taught at Stella Maris Catholic Primary and Siena Catholic Primary, Sippy Downs, Mrs Baillie said the parish initiative was a great place to get to know about God’s big love for us.
Stay tuned for the next one-day programme during the September school holidays!
