Siena Catholic Primary School
There has been plenty of learning and a hive of activity at Siena Primary this term.
We started Term 2 by celebrating the Feast of St Catherine of Siena and the plethora of events both curricular and extra-curricular continued both in the classroom and in the Religious Life of the school.
This term included Year 5 Camp – Currimundi, ANZAC Day Liturgy at the College and the march at Buderim, P&F Soul Food – Cook up, Mother’s Day Breaky and Liturgy, QC Netball Cup, Athletics Carnival, 7s Rugby, Excursions – Prep – Wild Life HQ, Yr 2 – Local Indigenous Sights, Yr 6 – Parliament House, Under 8’s Activity morning, Siena Primary led Parish Mass, the Sacrament of Confirmation, Siena run Community BBQ, Sorry Day, Reconciliation Week, Choir performances and Guitar ensemble.
Finally, the term culminated with the St Vinnies Winter Appeal. We were so very happy by the response of our Siena Primary community to assist the poor and vulnerable. We look forward to a two-week break to review, recharge and refresh ready for a busy Term 3.
God bless you all and, as we pray for our parishioners, may you continue to keep us in your prayers as well.
Stella Maris Primary School
It’s been a busy, productive and engaging time at Stella Maris, since the school year began for students this year. In the last five months, our community have joined together to support each other, to plan for the future and to achieve our vision and mission.
We’ve seen our Prep and new students become confident in their new setting, delighting in the opportunities they have to play, learn and grow.
Our Year 6 students have been stepping up as leaders, mentoring younger students, supporting them on the playground and identifying ways they can contribute to the community. All students have been kicking learning goals and setting new ones for the semester ahead.
We can’t wait for them to showcase their progress, achievements and new goals when they lead 3-way conferences with their parents and teachers at the beginning of next term. Until then, all our students and staff are off on holidays, to rest, renew and rejuvenate. You can look forward to new updates in mid-July.
