Sisterhood
Welcome to the Stella Maris Catholic Parish Sisterhood page.
Sisterhood is the new and exciting Catholic women’s ministry emerging in our parish.
We have a deep desire to see women across our churches of all ages and stages of life come together and find a place of connection and acceptance; a place that offers more than just friendship but a sense of sisterhood. A place where we can share our Catholic faith as we move deeper in our relationship with Christ.
We warmly invite you to connect with the women’s events happening in our parish.
WOMEN’S RETREAT DAY
On November 23, 2024 we are having our annual Sisterhood retreat at Stella Maris Primary School from 8:30 am – 4 pm, the cost is $40 per person.
This retreat day is a wonderful opportunity to gather as Catholic women and meet one another.
The day will include opportunities for prayer, worship, small group discussion, partaking in the sacrament of Reconciliation, Mass, and sharing lunch together. We are blessed to have a Catholic speaker give a keynote address.
“For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ” Jeremiah 29:11
The above scripture is the theme for this year's retreat, guiding us as we delve deeper into our identity as beloved daughters of God.
In a reflection by John Paul II he states that, Jesus shows his great esteem for the dignity of women and implores us to recognise the gift of God within every woman and what has been entrusted to us by the Creator. So that when we as women discover the meaning of our femininity and make a sincere gift of ourselves, John Paul II states we will in doing so find ourselves.
