Annual Month of Remembrance

Last Friday with the celebration of All Saints’ and then on Saturday morning with the moving, traditional Stella Maris All Souls’ Day Mass we have begun our annual month of remembrance for those who have died.  To die unmourned and unloved is the saddest journey anyone can contemplate.  November is the month that we traditionally remember and pray for our deceased loved ones and those who have gone before us marked by the sign of faith.  At the entrance to all our churches this weekend you will discover our Parish Book of Remembrance.  Throughout November this book will be placed at the base of the altar and the names inscribed on the pages will be the focus of our prayers during these weeks.

May they Rest in Peace.
