Mass in Many tongues
Congratulations to everyone who was involved in any way in making last Sunday’s Multicultural Mass such a great day of faith and friendship. Blessed by fantastic weather, we started our celebrations with Mass that highlighted our diversity while acknowledging our unity as a universal Church. At the end of Mass, what more Catholic thing could there be than to invite everyone for lunch!
The Church grounds were again this year full of colour and vibrancy as parishioners gathered to celebrate the community's rich cultural diversity for the annual Multicultural Mass on Sunday 16 June.
The Stella Maris Catholic Parish at Maroochydore embraces a diverse and inclusive parish evident in the number of people coming together to celebrate Mass.
Currently, the Maroochydore parish of Stella Maris celebrates Mass weekly in two other languages apart from English.
Polish Mass is celebrated every fourth Sunday at 4.00pm at St Mary's Church at Buderim and the Syro-Malabar Eastern Catholic Church confers sacraments at the parish.
