Faith Seeking Understanding
Are you looking to deepen both your understanding of Catholic theology and your experience of faith? Module 1 of Catholic Foundations – Catholic Theology in Context begins on Monday 3 February and registrations are open now! The experience of the Catholic Foundations core modules is designed to engage both the head and the heart, to encourage participants to grow in knowledge and the lived experience of Catholic faith. This module is a 10-week course and the venue will be the Bliss Room at Stella Maris. Because this is important adult education the Parish will subsidize all participants – to find out more and register at catholicformation.au Please inform Carrolyn Watt at the Parish Office, who is our parish coordinator.
An Invitation to You
Our Parish Family is blessed with countless people who quietly fulfil ministry rolls within our community. We all have been given gifts that differ and along our pilgrimage of life we are challenged to share those gifts! From being involved in our weekly liturgical life to reaching out to our brothers and sisters who cannot join us on a Sunday to simply helping ensure that our community runs smoothly and is responsive to the changing challenges we face, we all have a role to play.
At the start of every year, we invite the entire Parish Family to reflect upon the ministerial needs of our community and invite you to consider being involved in one of those ministries. Your chance to recommit to your Ministry or sign up for a Ministry, will be on the weekend of February 1st and 2nd. Between now and then, please consider accepting the invitation of being involved in the ministerial life of our Catholic Family.
A Great Opportunity
One of the great ministerial successes of last year was our emphasis on hosting “Children’s Church” at Stella Maris and St Catherine’s. Indeed on some Sunday mornings at Stella Maris, we had over 50 young people attending “Children’s Church” with also impressive numbers at Sippy Downs. To make this ministry work we need the assistance of adults, who are willing to join groups and go on a roster – perhaps this is your ministry? The resources are always provided and the more adults in a group the more rewarding the ministry is! “Children’s Church” resumes on Sunday, January 26th and if you would like to be involved or would like more information, please contact Carrolyn Watt at the Parish Office (5443 3488 ) or by email ( sa*****************@bn*.au ).
Take a moment to become a registered member of your Parish
